Group Therapy
Affordable online sessions
A new concept for online group therapy.
So we started a site to make it easy to start topic and support groups.
But it's our first time.
We need your support and feedback! Tell us what groups you'd like to see, get in touch if you are interested in leading a group, send a friend to check our site out. Help us build a resource for everyone who needs group support!
Group therapy includes lessons (worksheets, videos, lectures), homework and - most importantly - open time to talk about the issues that brought you to group, and to give feedback to your peers.
Our approach to group therapy is based on Irvin Yalom's group therapy principles.
Our content is firmly grounded in CBT, but some principles of ACT and DBT are included to support group members.
We're happy to talk about this in more detail if you have questions.
Support groups are typically a way to find comfort and help in coping with an issue.
Group therapy is a way to challenge and change an issue.
You may find a combination of both is the best way to get all of the help you need. We offer suggestions for relevant support groups in each group's resources.
Group therapy is helpful for most people, but its not right for:
- Individuals who are currently in crisis and/or actively suicidal. Please call your nearest Crisis Center, emergency number, psychiatric hospital, or the National Suicide Prevention Hotline
- Individuals with extreme social anxiety
- Individuals who aren’t ready to be challenged
Yes! We want to ensure that those who need it most have access to group therapy, so please reach out if the cost of our sessions is not realistic for you.
Share your email to be notified as new groups are added.
